The 2020 conference theme – Community. Opportunity. Growth. – highlights the current and growing shortfall of accessible and affordable housing in Australia across the entire housing continuum.
This theme showcases the growth and potential of the community housing sector, our commitment to the individuals and families that we provide homes for, and the importance for the sector to continue to grow strongly to reduce the number of people in housing stress in NSW.
Over the course of the conference, housing professionals from the private, not for profit, and government sectors will come together to share expertise and find out about the latest news in the industry.
CHIA NSW is delighted to announce that registrations are now open for the NSW Aboriginal Housing Caucus which will take place on Thursday 2nd April 2020 at the Sydney Masonic Centre as part Community Housing 2020. This is a free event and as spaces are limited sign up today to secure your spot.
Join us to hear from industry experts, practitioners, government partners and others as we work together to tackle housing need in NSW.

About the Conference
The Community Housing Industry Association NSW is hosting Community Housing 2020 – the premier community housing conference from 31 March – 1 April 2020 at the Sydney Masonic Centre, 66 Goulburn St, Sydney NSW 2000.
The increasing demand for affordable housing for low-income families puts the role of community housing providers at the forefront of discussions with government and the private sector on how to tackle the growing problem of housing stress.
Community Housing 2020 will bring together experts and providers from the housing and homelessness sector as well as investors and financiers, property developers, government policy makers, land use planners, and academia. Drawing on international and domestic experience, the conference will look at the role on community housing in improving people’s lives, the best approaches to innovative and effective policy making, and the capacity of the growth of the community housing sector to meet rising housing need.
The Affordable Housing Conference is aimed towards those working within the housing and homelessness sector – and also the industry’s financiers, property developers, government policy makers, land use planners, and academia professionals from the private, not for profit, and government sectors.
